Orient Cement (Orient Paper and Industries Ltd.) awarded Humboldt Wedag, India, and KHD Humboldt Wedag, Germany, a contract for the engineering and supply of a new clinker grinding unit with a capacity of 160 tph PPC cement with a Blaine fineness of 3400 cm_/g. The unit will be located at the Jalgaon cement plant in Maharashtra. KHD's scope of supply includes the following key plant components:
Roller press RP13-140/140.
V-separator, type VS 80/18.
Ball mill, (3.0 m dia. x 10.0 m).
SEPMASTER(r) high efficiency separator, type SKS-V 2750.
Commissioning is scheduled for the end of 2008.
The company also supplied two roller press systems and a new 300 tph raw material grinding system for Orient Cement's Devapur plant, in Andhra Pradesh. The company will also upgrade the existing cement mill 1 at this plant to increase capacity to 170 tph PPC cement, with a Blaine fineness of 3400 cm_/g.
For the raw material grinding system, operating in finish mode, KHD's scope of supply includes:
Roller press RP16-170/180.
V-separator, type VS 96/20.SEPMASTER(r) high efficiency separator, type SKS-V 3750.
For the capacity increase of the existing ball mill for clinker grinding, KHD will supply:
Roller press RP13-140/140
VSK(r)-separator 80/20-2750.
Commissioning is scheduled for the end of 2008.
Meanwhile, Grasim Industries Ltd awarded Humboldt Wedag India and KHD Humboldt Wedag Germany the contract for the engineering and supply of a new clinker grinding plant, including flyash silo and feeding system for its Aligarh Cement grinding unit in Uttar Pradesh. The designed capacity of the system is 175 tph PPC cement with a Blaine fineness of 3800 cm2/g.
KHD's scope of supply includes the following key components:
Roller Press RP13-140/140.
VSK(r) separator.
Ball mill (4.2 m dia. x 13.0 m) with slide shoe bearings.
SEPMASTER(r) high efficiency separator, type SKS-Z 3000.
Flyash silo and feeding system.
The ball mill in closed circuit with the SKS-separator will be used in combination with roller press and VSK(r) separator in
semi-finish mode.
Commissioning is scheduled for the end of 2008.
